Lunar Geometries
© 2000 Raah Sirus This graphic is a purely geometrical expression of the codes inherent within the 19 year flower of life (metonic cycle) weaving with the visible cycle of the moon (synodic cycle):
solar years = 19 x 365.2424 = 6939.606 days synodic moons = 235 x 29.53059 = 6939.688 days

There are 2 geometries contained in the graphic, i've called it 'Meta-19', these geometries are the 12 sided dodecahedron and 6 sided cube (hexahedron).
They are used specifically here, as within the 19 year cycle there are:
dodecahedron = 12 x 354 (12 lunations) = 4248 days cube (hexahedron) = 6 x 384 (13 lunations) = 2304 days center (+1) = 1 x 383 (13 lunations) = 383 days
4248 + 2304 + 383 = 6935 days 19 x 365 = 6935 days
This graphic shows the distribution of the cycles of 12 & 13 lunations
This then allows for a count of whole days with either 365 day "solar calendar" or with alternating years of 354 and 384 for the "lunar calendar", plus extra lunar year of 383. It also allows for various leap-day cycles to be worked with, depending on where you start your year, and allows for the change in length of the year to be kept in synch with.
For example: solar years = 19 x 365.2424 = 6939.606 days solar calendar = 19 x 365 = 6935 whole days
using the 33 year leap day cycle here: 8 / 33 = 0.2424... 0.2424 x 19 = 4.606 leap days
6935 whole days + 4.606 leap days = 6939.606 days
